One Token Please

Went to a Granite Education foundation dinner tonight. Had a fun time. On the way home, I needed a drink. I also needed a bathroom. Stopped at the McDonald's on 500 South after dark. Several homeless people were there. I walked to the bathroom door. One homeless man informs me: "You need a token to open that". I notice this, as I walk near the door. I go to the front counter. I order:
"Can I have a large drink, a medium fry, and.......a bathroom token?"
Worker plugs order in computer, and chuckles to himself, as he states: "Is that to stay or to go?"
I state: "To go, literally!!!"
I don't think he got my joke. But, I did get the bathroom token, and for this, I was very grateful!!!!

HA! Why do you need a token to use the bathroom? That doesn't make sense to me...but hey, I don't get out much! ;)

That's funny. I'm sure they make you have a token because otherwise the homeless people would just live in there. I stop at that McDonalds once in a while when I go into work. It's a little scarry. I've had homeless people come right up and knock on my window and scare me several times. They're pretty agressive.

I didn't know they had token bathrooms in Utah!

When I studied in London so many places had "token" bathrooms. They even had random outhouses in the street that you could pay a pound and go into. I never did that because it seemed way too disturbing!
