So Blessed.........

Yesterday, I was overcome with gratitude at some of the support that I have from neighbors/ward members, and I feel impressed to remember them here on my blog.
First off, K'Lynn is getting a minor surgery today. She has had what is thought to be a swollen lymph node behind her ear for quite some time. It is a bump about the size of a half of a gum ball. For a while, it came and went. But, I was surprised back in April, for her to tell me it had been present again for quite some time. We had some blood work ran on her, and watched it for a while. Back in November, she went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist who advised us to have it removed, which is what we are doing today.
Yesterday was a pretty nutty day. Fun, but lots of noise (mostly related to new Christmas gadgets and kids being home) filled our house most of the day. In the afternoon, Josh had asked one of our neighbors to come over to help give K'Lynn a blessing. Right when the blessing began, the quietness of the house that had been so bustly just moments before caused me to reflect upon how some people around us had recently so richly blessed our lives:
-First of all, right at that moment, there was someone in our home taking time away from his family to help Josh give K'Lynn a blessing of comfort and peace for her surgery today
-Just moments prior to this, my visiting teacher had brought a huge crock pot of chicken noodle soup and homemade rolls. I know, I pretty much have the best visting teachers ever!!!! I was really sick, and couldn't go to church on Sunday. She called me afterwards and insisted (very kindly) that she bring dinner over to our family the following night
-Through the last few days, I have had a couple of neighbors listen to me cry/vent/talk about a current situation (that by the way has nothing to do with the well being of anyone close to me). It's my own little thing going on (which also has nothing to do with my physical well being). Besides, I am doing a million times better now. But, it is in part, due to listening ears that let me work through my feelings the best way for me, which is talking, talking, and then some more talking!!!! I was so thankful for the listening ears, and I am sure that Josh was equally thankful for the listening break.
-Finally, I had one of the BEST ward members/neighbors who I respect immensely, and who I would like to be like when I grow up, answer a HUGE part of a prayer for me within 15 minutes of my prayer being offered. Her phone call and words meant SO VERY MUCH, and I am so looking forward to rubbing shoulders with her and  being blessed with her great wisdom and spiritual insight.
So, with all of this happening for me in less than 24 hours, I would say that makes me PRETTY DANG BLESSED!!!!!! I am so thankful that Heavenly Father knows what we need, when we need it, and that through our Savior's sacricifice and atonement, our burdens are lifted, and......our prayers are answered by TREMENDOUSLY great people such as these. For this, I am so thankful!!!!!

We're praying that everything will go well today with the surgery! I'm so sorry you were sick on Sunday. I didn't realize that's why you weren't there. I thought maybe you were working. I too feel grateful for our ward and neighbors. I'm grateful you're my neighbor too. Your family has blessed our lives MANY times!
