Clarification

Apparently a bad choice of a word I have used in a previous post has offended someone. I could directly apologize. However, since there was not one bone in my body that was trying to be spiteful or selfish, and since the offense was also taken from the contents of this blog, I have chosen to address it in this manner.
When I said in my "cleaning out my closet" post that I was getting rid of "BABY" clothes, this was a bad choice of a word. It was my closet, not my children's closet, and most of what was disposed of were clothes that both Josh and I have been collecting since 1997.
The "BABY" and "SENTIMENTAL" words came from a small collection of clothes that were size 3T's and up, were quite trendy (in their day of being in fashion), and have been completely worn out by 2 children. It's always sentimental to look at things that your kids wore even if they were in 3T's and not tiny little baby clothes. What was sentimental for me was when I realized that Kandace now fits in clothes that I bought for K'Lynn after we moved in this house. Wow!!!! Time does fly!!!!
Any true "BABY" clothes and classics smaller than 3T are nestled away somewhere in my deep dark basement. A good portion of the 12-18 month clothes I've given to my sister for her daughter Jayci, after many years of her being very generous giving us darling clothes passed down from Danaka to K'Lynn. The rest will be passed on as well (as soon as I tackle my basement the way I just did my bedroom).
The reason for cleaning out my closet wasn't to offend or be selfish, rather to make room in my closet for all of my school books that are starting to take over the rest of my bedroom. That's all!!!! The ONLY reason for doing a post on my closet cleaning experience was to be excited about my "TREASURE" found deep within the depths of that cluttery closet. After all, my blog is simply my journal, and sometimes I think it's fun to read back to the typical everyday life stuff, and not just the rare occasion life changing stuff. AND THAT'S ALL!!!!!

do some people have nothing better to do than get offended? My dad is the bishop right now, and after observing this same kind of problem in the ward, he wrote a whole talk based on one line of a Jimmy Buffett song: "Breathe in, breathe out, move on" such a simple yet profound statement...

Also, I would like to add... I should clean out my closet too! I have baby clothes in there that I'm sure will not be trendy by the time I actually have babies (and, knowing my luck, I will have a boy, and have no use for all the ruffles and pink!) Yes, that's right... I have bought baby clothes before in hopes of someday having a baby to dress up! I'm a dork!

I cannot imagine how anyone could have been offended by anything you said in that post. REALLY! This is a personal blog and I believe that if someone doesn't like something that is written the should just keep their mouth shut. That is the whole reason my blog is private. My feelings could not handle the rude and hurtful comments I was getting. Some people are just not nice people. Sorry you had to deal with that so much lately.

Re-read the post and I don't think anything was offensive. Do they know you?
